For the 2026–27 school year, LVUSD is adjusting student transportation services in response to rising costs and declining ridership. State reimbursement covers only a small portion of the District’s overall transportation expenses, and even with family fees, transportation still requires significant support from the operational budget intended to serve students in classrooms. 

To use resources more efficiently and direct more funding back to classrooms, the District is streamlining transportation services and limiting capacity to 300 bus seats for 2026–27. Bus pass requests and sales are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with waitlists established for routes that reach capacity. Please note that if interest is insufficient for a particular route, LVUSD reserves the right to modify or cancel that route and will issue a refund in such circumstances.

Families who qualify for free/reduced lunch can get a Free Bus Pass through using the code "LVUSDFree" at Checkout. All Free Passes are subject to income verification and will be canceled if ineligible.

All routes remain fixed, California Highway Patrol approved, and aligned with Board policy.
